What is women Empowerment?
Women are generally known as adult females. A woman is categorized from age 19-infinity. Wives, Mothers, Aunties, the girl children are all women. A girl is most likely said to be a woman when she passes through puberty stage and develops physical attributes like breasts, etc, but there are other qualities that makes up a woman.
Women are said to be the most powerful beings on earth and it’s no doubt that this is accurate.

Definitionally, according to Wikipedia, women’s empowerment is the process of empowering women. It may be defined In several ways including accepting women’s power of view or making an effort to seek them. Raising the status of women through education, awarenes, literacy and training. When we give rooms for the female gender to speak, listen to them and appreciate their efforts beginning from our homes, we empower them.
Importance of Women Empowerment
Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities, and countries. In some countries today, women are not given the same right as the male, paid less, expected to cook, take care of the house responsibilities and chores and in most cases not allowed to study or work far from home. A lot of pressure and protection is applied on the females whereas the male counterparts are given free will to do anything, stay out late, avoid certain duties at home which has given them the opportunity to see these things as the rights of a male. Empowering the women is to give them equal rights to education, society, economically and politically.
Empowerment helps to reduce domestic violence. Women wouldn’t be abused either sexually, emotionally or physically and their self esteem will increased and giving them a safe place in the society.
The voice of a woman is powerful and is one of the greatest tool she has and should be made use of. The society should encourage women to speak up for themselves instead of seeing them to be inferior and if given the chances to speak they would be referred to as bossy. Every woman has the potentials of leadership in her and should be allowed to take up leadership roles other than being addressed as manipulative. Women Should be encouraged to stand up for themselves instead of questioning their home training and calling them feminists from a wrong dimension. The narratives of women being raised to just being mothers and wives should be changed. Women are more than that and would hold great values in the world if the society sees it like that. Today, a lot of women are volunteers, doctors, nurses, educationists, to mention But a few.
”Charity begins at home” Every family has roles to play in empowering women and making them utilize their voices.
Families should make their homes safe for the females to speak up.
Listen out for the value of her voice and not the outcome of it.
Teach them they have potentials of leaders in them and should learn to speak up and stand up for themselves.
Encourage the male counterparts to respect and support the females and practice the teachings together as one.
